Abstract

Corruption is a problem that can hinder development and undermine integrity in society. Therefore, anti-corruption education needs to be introduced from an early age through learning activities that provide students with direct experiences. This activity aimed to describe the implementation of anti-corruption cadre training based on Student Centered Learning (SCL) at SMP Negeri 3 Natar and to describe changes in students' awareness and participation after participating in the activity. The activity employed an action research approach combined with SCL through the stages of problem identification, action planning, implementation and observation, reflection, and follow-up. The participants were students selected as anti-corruption education cadres. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation and analyzed qualitatively through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that students demonstrated enthusiasm during the training, became more capable of recognizing dishonest behavior in everyday life, and showed greater courage to express opinions and reject behaviors that were inconsistent with anti-corruption values. Group discussions and poster-making activities provided students with opportunities to actively understand and disseminate the values of honesty, responsibility, courage, caring, and discipline. Thus, anti-corruption cadre training based on SCL can serve as a contextual and participatory alternative for character education in schools. Continuous implementation and support from the entire school community are needed so that anti-corruption values can develop into part of the school culture
