Author Guidelines

JURNAL PELAYANAN DAN PENGABDIAN MASYARAKAT (PAMAS)

Jurnal Pelayanan dan Pengabdian Masyarakat (PAMAS) accepts original scientific manuscripts, including research articles, reviews, case study reports, book reviews, and other manuscripts related to the health sciences. Submitted manuscripts must not have been previously published or be under consideration for publication in another journal or magazine.

ARTICLE PEER REVIEW

All manuscripts submitted to the journal will undergo a review process covering both the technical aspects of writing and the substantive content of the article. Each manuscript will be reviewed by a minimum of two (2) reviewers.

ORIGINALITY AND PLAGIARISM

Authors must ensure that the submitted manuscript is their own original work and is free from plagiarism. All manuscripts submitted for publication will undergo a similarity check using anti-plagiarism software.

1. MANUSCRIPT STRUCTURE

a. Preliminary Section

The preliminary section should include:

• Title: Maximum 20 words, using 14 pt font.
• Author Names: Written without academic or professional titles.
• Institutional Affiliation: Name of the institution or organization.
• Email Address: Corresponding author’s email address.
• Abstract: Written in Indonesian and/or English. The abstract should contain no more than 250 words and use Calibri font, 11 pt, with single spacing.
• Keywords: A minimum of 3 and a maximum of 9 keywords should be provided on the abstract page.

b. Main Section

The main section should consist of:

• Introduction
• Research Methods/Methodology
• Results and Discussion
• Conclusion

c. Final Section

The final section should include:

• Acknowledgments
• List of Symbols, if applicable
• References

2. MANUSCRIPT FORMAT AND LAYOUT

The manuscript should be prepared on A4-size paper with the following margins:

a. Top margin: 2.5 cm
b. Bottom margin: 2.5 cm
c. Left margin: 2.5 cm
d. Right margin: 2.5 cm

Each manuscript should not exceed 17 pages, including tables, figures, and references. The manuscript should use single spacing, Calibri font, 11 pt.

3. LANGUAGE, UNITS, AND SYMBOLS

Manuscripts should be written in standard Indonesian using clear, concise, and straightforward language.

The use of units and symbols should comply with the applicable national standards and the International System of Units (SI).

EQUATIONS

Equations or mathematical formulas should be written using appropriate equation software and numbered consecutively. For example:

Equations cited within the text should be referred to as Eq. (1).

FIGURES AND TABLES

Figures and tables should be presented in black and white. The formatting of figures and tables should follow the examples below.

The figure caption should be placed at the center below the figure.

Table 1. Table Caption
The table caption should be placed at the center above the table.

Figures and tables should be referred to in the text as Fig. 1 and Table 1, respectively.

4. REFERENCES

References should be listed in the order in which they are cited in the manuscript using the Vancouver citation style, with reference numbers enclosed in square brackets.

References should include the author’s initials and surname, journal title or book title, volume, editor (if applicable), publisher, city of publication, year of publication, and page numbers, as applicable.

Authors will receive notification regarding the acceptance of their manuscript. Accepted manuscripts will be published in the journal and authors will receive an official Acceptance Letter as confirmation of manuscript acceptance.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
