Abstract

Reproductive health among older women remains insufficiently addressed, although aging and menopause may increase the risk of pelvic floor disorders and urinary incontinence. The SERASI Program aimed to improve reproductive health knowledge, provide early urinary incontinence screening, and improve Kegel exercise skills among older women at the Sekolah Lansia Indonesia Ramah Lansia (IRL) in West Java. The activity was conducted on August 16, 2026 using a participatory community empowerment approach. Thirty older women participated, supported by seven IRL volunteers. Screening used the ICIQ-UI SF; knowledge was assessed using pre-test and post-test; and Kegel exercise skills were assessed through direct observation. The screening identified 12 participants (40%) with ICIQ-UI SF scores >0 and 18 (60%) with a score of 0. At pre-test, 27 participants (90%) scored 100, two (7%) scored 80, and one (3%) scored 60. After education, all participants (100%) scored 100 on the post-test. All participants were also able to perform the correct Kegel exercise technique after demonstration, practice, correction, and supervision. The SERASI Program achieved its main activity indicators and produced a SERASI Pocket Book and Monitoring Book to support sustainability. An integrated model combining screening, education, and practical training may be incorporated into routine activities for older adults
