Author Guidelines

TEXT WRITING GUIDE

JOURNAL OF HEALTH SERVICES AND SERVICES FOR THE COMMUNITY (JPPKM)

The Journal of Public Health Services and Service (JPPKM) accepts original scientific papers (articles, reviews, case study reports, book reviews, or matters relating to health science groups. These articles have not been published or are in the process of being submitted for publication in a journal or other magazine.

 

PEER REVIEW ARTICLES

Articles that have been submitted to the journal will be reviewed regarding the technical writing and substance of the article by a minimum of 2 (two) reviewers.

 

ORIGINALITY AND PLAGIARISM

The author of the article must ensure that the submitted manuscript is his own work and is free of plagiarism. All manuscripts that will be published will be checked for similarity using anti-plagiarism software.

 

1. Writing Systematics

Initial part: title (maximum 20 words; 14 pt), author's name (without title), origin of institution/institution, email, abstract (written in Indonesian and/or English. Abstracts are compiled with the number of words not exceeding 250 words using font Calibri size 11 pt single spaced. In the abstract page the keywords (keywords) must be a minimum of 3 words and a maximum of 9 words).
The main part: contains the introduction, literature review and hypothesis development (if any), research methods/methods, research results and discussion, and conclusions and suggestions.
The last part: acknowledgment, symbol description (if any), and bibliography

2. Layout

The manuscript is written on A4 paper with the following margin format:

Top margin 2.5 cm
Bottom margin 2.5 cm
Left Margin 2.5 cm
Right Margin 2.5 cm
Each manuscript is a maximum of 10 pages (including tables, figures, and list of references) with single spacing, Calibri font, size 11 pt.

 

b. Language, Units and Symbols

Manuscripts are written in standard Indonesian, straightforward and clear. The use of units and symbols refers to the rules of the National Standards and International Units (SI).

 

Equation Writing

Equations or formulas are written using equestion software and numbered, for example:

Writing equations in the text is expressed by Eq. (1).

 

Pictures and Tables

Figures and Tables are printed in black and white. Writing pictures and tables like the example below.

Figure 1. Caption of the image (bottom center) and Table 1. Caption of the table (top center). In the text is written Fig. 1. and Table 1.

 

3. Reference List

The list of references is written in the order in which they are indicated on the manuscript using the Vancouver System (numbers in square brackets). The reference contains the initials and the name of the author (anonymous), the name of the journal or the name of the book, volume, editor, publisher, city, year, and page.

4. How to Submit Manuscripts

In journals that have implemented Open Journal Systems (OJS), submission of manuscripts or manuscripts can be done through the application online

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
