Abstract

The increase in the number of elderly people is a global phenomenon that has an impact on health systems. Data shows that more than 60% of elderly people in Indonesia suffer from chronic non-communicable diseases that require regular health monitoring. Digital-based applications enable a more effective preventive approach. The innovation developed is the Golantang application designed by BKKBN to facilitate health monitoring of the elderly. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the behavior of elderly users of the Golantang application and Green's Theory (PRECEDE-PROCEED) approach. This study used a quantitative method with a cross-sectional design, with a sample of 384 respondents selected using purposive sampling. Data collection was conducted using questionnaires processed univariately, bivariately with Chi Square, and multivariately with logistic regression. The results showed that predisposing factors (age = OR 0.548, education = OR 0.498, knowledge = OR 1.939, attitude = OR 1.734), enabling factors (access = OR 1.960, barriers = 1.663), and reinforcing factors (family support = OR 1.723) had a significant relationship with the use of the Golantang application (p<0.05). Multivariate analysis shows that only education, knowledge, and access have a significant influence as dominant factors (sig <0.05). This means that individual factors play a greater role than external social influences. Therefore, strategies to increase the use of digital applications by older adults need to focus on improving cognitive capacity and digital literacy as well as ease of access to technology. Community-based interventions such as Senior Citizen Schools can be an effective platform
