Peran Kecerdasan Emosional dalam Pengambilan Keputusan Karier pada Mahasiswa Administrasi Bisnis
Abstract
Di tengah ketidakpastian dunia kerja era VUCA, mahasiswa Administrasi Bisnis menghadapi tekanan
psikologis yang signifikan dalam pengambilan keputusan karier. Pendekatan konvensional yang hanya
berfokus pada informasi karier dan kemampuan teknis sering kali gagal memitigasi keraguan dan
kecemasan mahasiswa. Penelitian ini mengisi kesenjangan tersebut dengan menempatkan kecerdasan
emosional sebagai fondasi strategis dalam pembentukan kematangan karier. Tujuannya adalah
menganalisis kontribusi kecerdasan emosional dan dimensinya terhadap pengambilan keputusan
karier. Melalui survei kuantitatif terhadap 75 mahasiswa dan lulusan Universitas Nusa Cendana yang
menggunakan Schutte Emotional Intelligence Scale dan Career Decision Making Scale, analisis regresi
mengungkap bahwa kecerdasan emosional berkontribusi signifikan sebesar 26,0% (R2 = 0,260; p <
.001) terhadap varians keputusan karier. Temuan krusial studi ini adalah teridentifikasinya dimensi
Pengelolaan Emosi dan Motivasi Diri sebagai prediktor terkuat. Hal ini mengimplikasikan bahwa
kemampuan regulasi diri dan resiliensi lebih menentukan kematangan karier dibandingkan sekadar
keterampilan sosial. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan kepada institusi pendidikan tinggi untuk
merevitalisasi layanan bimbingan karier melalui integrasi pelatihan manajemen emosi yang
terstruktur.
